What:
The Beartooth Foothills project, located near Fishtail, MT, will take place on private land.

Camping on private land; Fishtail, MT, ~6000 ft elevation

Volunteers must bring a tent, bedding, a bowl and/or large cup, and a long-handled spoon or spork; AERI can provide a tent for some students (first-come, first-served)

Wi-fi available at night. Cell service is spotty to none.

Carpool opportunities available

3 meals a day and snacks provided by AERI; we suggest you bring your own snacks too

8-hour days

2 weeks, or any interval thereof

HOW:
More about the project...
The purpose of this project was to assess the cultural association of boulders that may align with celestial movements. We took soil samples around multiple boulders and features to assess their age, and we are excited to see the results! Join us for the next leg of this project in 2026 to hear more about our findings!
