AERI's 2025 project list bursts with archaeological survey and excavation opportunities throughout southwestern Montana! We will be uncovering primarily pre-contact archaeological materials, which will aid in our understanding of southwest Montana's vibrant history.

Each of these projects will involve camping for 4-10 days at the project location. Some projects will require freeze-dried foods due to space limitations while traveling. However, we are working hard to integrate a camp cook into the budget for each field session. The goal is to have backcountry-style home cooking on the fire every night!
